How Batomon Showdown ranks work

Batomon Showdown has six ranked tiers, from Bronze up to Master. Every tier below Master is split into numbered divisions with stars, and every player also carries an MMR rating.

The six tiers

Listed in the order the game itself defines them, lowest to highest.

Divisions, stars and MMR

  • There are six tiers, in this order: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master.
  • Every tier below Master is split into numbered divisions, and a player also carries a star count within their division.
  • Master is the exception: it shows no division and no stars, only MMR. A Master player is identified by rating alone.
  • MMR is a separate rating that is displayed alongside the tier for every player, including Master.
  • In our own leaderboard data, division numbers run from 1 to 8, and higher-numbered divisions hold players with better average rating and better average leaderboard position.

What we don't know

Stated plainly rather than guessed. If a source establishes any of these, this page changes.

  • How many stars are needed to advance a division, and how many divisions are needed to advance a tier, are not established by any source available to this site.
  • MMR is not a simple ladder position: the rating ranges we observe overlap heavily between tiers, so a given MMR does not by itself determine a tier. How the two relate is not established.
  • Bronze is a tier the game defines, but no Bronze player appears in the ranked data we have collected, so we cannot describe it from observation.
  • Whether ranks reset between seasons, and what a season is, are not established.
